Called, But Stuck

A Calling Without Capacity

All around the world, there are churches with a deep desire to reach people, develop leaders, and see new churches planted. The calling is clear. The mission is urgent. The need is real. But many of these churches are stuck. Not because they lack faith. Not because they lack vision. But because they lack capacity. In under-resourced areas, churches often carry the weight of overwhelming demands with very little support. Leaders are stretched thin. Systems are nonexistent. The margin needed to grow simply isn’t there. And without capacity, multiplication doesn’t happen.

The Reality of Under-Resourced Churches

An under-resourced area isn’t defined by geography or population size. It’s defined by the absence of healthy, multiplying churches. In these places, churches are doing everything they can just to survive. Many leaders are burdened with responsibilities that pull them away from the core of their calling—making followers. Instead of developing people, they are managing problems. Instead of multiplying leaders, they are maintaining systems. This cycle creates a ceiling. Churches remain faithful, but unable to expand their reach or impact. And when churches can’t multiply, communities remain unreached.

Why Multiplication Matters

The mission of the Church has always been multiplication—followers becoming leaders, and leaders being sent to reach new people and places. But multiplication requires more than intention. It requires structure, support, and sustainability. Without these, even the most passionate churches struggle to move forward. This is why so many churches around the world remain in a place of limitation—not because they aren’t willing, but because they aren’t equipped. And that’s a problem we cannot ignore.

A Way Forward

Multiply exists to help change this reality. By coming alongside under-resourced churches, Multiply provides the support and systems needed to create capacity. This allows leaders to refocus on what matters most—developing followers of Jesus and raising up leaders from within their communities. Because when churches gain capacity, everything changes. They begin to grow. They begin to develop leaders. They begin to multiply. And when that happens, entire communities can be reached with the gospel. This is the opportunity in front of us. You can be part of it.
