â›… Good morning!
God in Our Midst
📖 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”
Isaiah 7:14
Throughout this month, we will explore several of the prophecies that announced the coming of the Messiah, His glorious arrival on earth, and the wonderful gift of salvation that came through our Savior.
Let us begin with the prophet Isaiah.
Isaiah lived around 765 B.C., one of the most important prophets of the 8th century B.C. His ministry lasted approximately from 740 to 701 B.C.
How wonderful it is to reflect on the many times God spoke of this glorious hope through His prophets, and how beautiful it is to see that the Bible does not contradict itself—not even in a comma—across more than 1500 years of history, written by authors from different eras who never knew each other.
Today we set our minds and hearts on this powerful prophecy:
The virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and His name shall be Immanuel, which means: God with us.
And although we know Jesus was not born on this exact date, we lovingly remember and honor the reason we celebrate this season: Jesus is the reason for our celebration.
How great is the love of God! He sent His beloved only Son, conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and made flesh in the person of Jesus, to walk among us—a sinful humanity undeserving of such grace and love.
It is astounding to think that the Light of the world came to illuminate our hearts, and that His desire is to be born in every life: a birth that brings a living and effective hope. Through His perfect sacrifice, He granted us the greatest gift anyone could imagine: eternal life in the Heavenly Kingdom.
God with us is not only a historical fact; it is the greatest expression of love. It is the example of a righteous and sinless life—the life God desired for us, knowing we could never achieve it on our own. So He Himself chose to take human form and live it on our behalf. He knew our imperfections and weaknesses, yet in His humanity, He fulfilled it perfectly.
God with us is the purest expression of the Father’s love and mercy, and the beginning of a wonderful journey that will last for all eternity for those who believe in His divine purpose through the living Christ.
My desire is that today this journey brings light to your life, and that the Light who came into the world may also shine in your heart.
đź’Ż Today we pray:
“Holy Father, I thank You for Jesus Christ, of whom I am not worthy to receive salvation and eternal life, but who, by His grace and love, saved me and made me righteous before You. Today I ask forgiveness for all my sins and pray that, in a personal way, the God who walked among His people and who is alive among us today may be real in my life. May I be a faithful witness of His greatness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Have a very blessed day!
